Hi,

I am using Eclipse (v3.1.1) on OS X (v10.4) and Colorer Take 5
library (v0.7.1). Since I installed this lib on my system, the
following problem occured:

I am not able to type squared brackets any more. as soon as I type
the key, the following error message appears: "Can't find requested
pair. Possibly bad content structure."

this is just happening when i try to edit my Matlab files. Tex files
are not affected.

I would appreciate, if anyone helps me.

thanks in advance,

markus

Hi Markus,

Just tried to reproduce - no success.

Generally this message appears only when you pressing one of the
Colorer's shortcuts to find out paired bracket. Possibly you have some
problems with shortcut's configuration - could you try to recheck it
in eclipse preferences?

Hi Igor,

I am not an Eclipse crack, just use it as an advanced editor. So I
don't know if it was very clever, but I fixed the problem doing the
following:

In eclipse preferences > general > keys
I deleted two key-sequences: "Matched Paired Structure" and "Select
Pair"

now it works.

the shortcut for those commands need to press 'alt' and a squared
bracket. but in order to type a squared bracket on a german mac
keyboard, you need to press 'alt'. maybe there is the problem.

thanks and cheers,
markus
